Honicombe Manor is situated in the Tamar valley, now designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is midway between the handsome county town of Tavistock and the charming country town of Callington, and a mere twelve miles from the capital city of Plymouth.

Dartmoor in all its mystery and vastness, is ten miles away accessed through Tavistock. Morwhellan Quay, which is a major feature of Cornish Mining heritage and a most interesting insight into times gone by, is about five miles from Honicombe.

The River Tamar is conveniently accessed at Calstock or Cotele (National trust). Boat trips are offered from one to the other.
